Where civil a civil senate makes civil debate unclean

The Republican Party just announced that scorched earth is the order of the day. Fine. Now we see if the Democrats have gonads.

I’m not familiar with the Senate rules of procedure, but I am very, very familiar with a bunch of other rules of order. Every single one of them that I’m familiar with can be suspended– by majority vote. In fact…

A few seconds worth of searching turns up this gem. With 1 legislative day’s notice, the Senate can suspend all their rules. The entire handbook the Republicans have written to help them keep Americans unhealthy can be overturned in 24hrs. Majority rule could be restored again. And America could start to function again.

If Harry Reid has the gonads of his House counterpart. Call him and find out.
